Changing open codes
For systems that support enhanced features version 3 or later (page 92)
When "Open codes" for unlocking the lobby are configured for each resident with the PC setup tool, "Open codes"
can also be changed with Lobby station programming.
In order to use this feature, "Open code" settings must be configured in advance from the PC setup tool. See
page 58.
Important:
R To prevent intruders from entering the building, make sure to select open codes that are difficult to guess,
change them regularly, and keep them secret. Inform all relevant staff and residents of these policies.
R When the open code is changed to "#### (Disable)", it must be configured from the PC setup tool the next
time you use it.
1. For 1 building systems:
Enter the resident's room number.
For multiple buildings systems:
a. Enter the resident's building number.
b. Press M
N.
c. Enter the resident's room number.
2. Press M#N.
3. Enter your current (configured) 4-digit open code.
R Confirm the 4-digit open code with the facility staff.
4. Press MHN M#N M

5. Enter your desired 4-digit open code ® M
