9-5 E TERMINAL OF INPUT CONNECTOR

9-5-1 E Terminal of DPM-911/912/913

The E terminal of the input connector is
connected to the input common.
The internal connection is shown in the right
figure. Use these terminals as instructed
below in order to assure safety.
1) Be sure to ground the grounding terminal.
2) When an output instrument is not grounded,
connect the grounding terminal of the
DPM-900 series.
(The output instrument is also grounded.)
NOTE
If the E terminal is grounded with the shielded cable, isolating state between the input and output
terminals becomes not insulating state. (The same thing happened when the E terminal and GND
terminal are short circuited.)
When measuring strain of the target having the electrical potential with the E terminal grounded, an
unexpected accident may happen.
9-5-2 E Terminal of DPM-951/952
The E terminal is connected to the case of the DPM-951/952 (same potential with the GND terminal).
The internal connection is shown in the right figure. Use these terminals as instructed below in order to
assure safety.
1) Be sure to ground the grounding terminal.
2) When an output instrument is not grounded,
connect the grounding terminal of the
DPM-950 series.
(The output instrument is also grounded.)
NOTE
If the GND terminal is not
grounded, external noise emitted
from the inverter motor may not
be reduced. Be sure to ground the
GND terminal.
MEMO
To increase the noise reduction effect, ground the E terminal at the transducer side with the shielded
cable.
