It should also be noted that if you navigate to another page (such as Multi or Live, etc.) and then
select the button for the [HOME] page again, you will be returned to the page/tab that was selected
at the time you navigated away from that area. This might be slightly confusing if you are still
growing accustomed to the Origin's navigational hierarchy, and were looking for the [HOME] tabs
when all you find is [SYSTEM] parameters. That is because that screen was active when you
navigated away from that area previously.
Don't worry, if you find yourself "lost" in the [SYSTEM] tabs when you really wanted to be at the
[HOME] page, all you have to do to return to the [HOME] page is to select the [HOME] button at the
upper right corner of the LCD screen.

The [MIDI] tab

The global Origin's [MIDI] settings include the global MIDI channel, tempo, synchronization type,
MIDI controllers and program change activity.
[Device ID]: 1-127: The Device ID is used for situations where you have more than one
-
Origin on the same MIDI port and wish to differentiate which instrument you wish to send
or receive preset data to and from another source. In most cases the default value doesn't
need to be changed. The default value is 1.
-
[Global MIDI Channel]: 1-16: The global MIDI channel only concerns program presets, it
determines to which MIDI channel the program presets responds. For the Multi presets,
the MIDI input channel is set on the per-program basis within the Multi page. The default
value is 1.
-
[Global Synchro]: Inter, MCloc: The global synchronization can either be controlled
internally or through MIDI Clock data from another device (in most cases, a host
sequencer). The default value is [Inter].
-
[Global Tempo]: 20-300 BPM: The global tempo parameter sets the tempo of the internal
clock, this setting has no effect when [Global Synchro] is set to MCloc. The default value
is [110].
-
[Receive Control Change]: On/Off: This setting determines whether MIDI controller data
influences parameters of Origin presets. When set to [Off], this setting overrides any
configuration in the MIDI EDIT settings tab of the [Live] page. The default value is [ON].
-
[Receive Program Change]: On/Off: This setting determines whether the Origin responds
to MIDI program change commands. The default value is [ON].

The global [SETTING] tab

The global [SETTING] tab includes a place to enter the Owner Name as well as eight fields that
control various aspects of Origin's operation. It is the first screen you see when you turn on your
Origin for the first time. This is to give you the chance to enter your [Owner Name] (see below). All
of the [SETTING] tab fields and their respective values are described below.
