1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect
all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 153.
3. If your computer comes with a Wi-Fi card module that supports the Bluetooth function, disconnect the
Bluetooth cable from the Wi-Fi adapter card.
Note: The Bluetooth cable connects the Bluetooth connector on the Wi-Fi adapter card to the front
USB connector on the system board.

4. Hold the Wi-Fi adapter card and disconnect the front and rear Wi-Fi antenna cables from the Wi-Fi card
module.

5. Rotate the PCI card retainer to the open position. Grasp the Wi-Fi adapter card that is currently installed
and gently pull it out of the slot.
Note: The card fits tightly into the card slot. If necessary, alternate moving each side of the card a small
amount until it is removed from the card slot.
