The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.
TROUBLE
QM-FTMC not
functioning.
PWR LED does not
illuminate.
No video output
displayed.
Wrong source or video
displayed.
Video from RGB source is
garbled or no output.
Poor RGB or video image
quality.
Hum on audio and/or mic.
Intermittent or no
audio/mic output.
Microphone does not
produce sound.
POSSIBLE
CAUSE(S)
Net ID is not correct.
Net ID is not set to match
the Net ID specified in
SIMPL Windows.
Net ID is the same as
another device's Net ID.
Not receiving power.
Incorrect cable
connection.
Wrong SystemBuilder or
SIMPL Windows programs.
SystemBuilder project not
set up correctly.
Incorrect cable
connections.
Signal skew due to cable
length or unequal pair
length.
Incorrect peak and/or boost
setting.
Grounding problem.
Incorrect peak setting.
Microphone requires
phantom power or cannot
use phantom power.
Incorrect gain, gating
level, attack time or decay
time settings.
Incorrect volume and/or
mixer settings on
QM-RMCRX-BA.

Crestron QM-FTMC
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Verify the Net ID in Toolbox.
Verify SIMPL Windows program for
setting Net ID.
Assign a different Net ID.
Verify that Cresnet is properly
attached.
Verify RGB, video, S-video output
cable connection.
Verify QM input cable connection is
secure.
Verify and upload correct programs.
Verify proper video set up for each
video input.
Verify 15-pin output cable
connection. Verify QM input cable
connections.
Verify maximum QM cable length
and compensation for skew.
Adjust peak or boost controls in
SystemBuilder until image quality is
improved.
Refer to ground wire connection
instructions on page 23.
Adjust peak control in
SystemBuilder until audio is
restored.
Enable or disable phantom power
as necessary using controls
created in the SystemBuilder
project.
Adjust gain, gating level, attack
time, or decay time settings as
required.
Adjust volume and/or mixer
settings on QM-RMCRX-BA as
required.
