11.5 Check protective equipment

Drive motor
1.
Move the machine portal against the rear stop.
2.
Switch off the machine at the main switch, disconnect the power supply.
3.
Clamp the machine portal (using clamps).
�� This will ensure that the portal remains parallel.
4.
Remove the cover screws ⮫ 'X-axis' on page 57 and detach the cover. Pay
attention to the electrical connections.
5.
Front and rear side of the machine: Loosen the screws for the side covers
⮫ 'X-axis' on page 57 and remove them.
6.
Remove the old belt and dispose of correctly.
7.
Place a new belt over the outer wheels and insert into the drive motor as
shown. Tension belt as required. The belt tension needs to be between 37 to
41 Hz.
8.
Screw the cover back on and remove the clamps on the portal.
Press the emergency stop whilst the machine is running.
�� The machine will stop automatically.
