- Check if the recording paper used is according to
specifications.
- Clean each roller by printing several blank sheets.
- Clean the platen.
Cause
Remove foreign materials.
Clean the recording paper feeding path.
Clean the CR encoder strip.
Reconnect the carriage flat cable.
Reattach the ink supply tube.
Replace the CR encoder strip.
<User Check>
- Carry out head cleaning.
Cause
Remove foreign materials.
Clean the CR encoder strip.
Carry out the recommended purge procedures. Refer
to "Recommended purge procedures" in
Section 1.3.29 "Purge Operation (Maintenance mode
76)".
Replace the CR encoder strip.
Replace the carriage motor ASSY.
Replace the head/carriage unit.
