Disc Jam / Paper Jam

The carriage cannot return to its home position.

Detected by the CR encoder sensor.

- Remove the jammed recording paper from the engine part.
Step
1 Foreign materials inside the
engine
2 CR encoder strip stained
3 Switching lever guide out of place Reattach the switching lever guide.
4 Leveler roller ASSY not properly
attached to the head/carriage unit
5 Ink supply tubes not properly
attached
6 CR guide rail not properly
attached
7 Maintenance unit not properly
attached
8 CR encoder strip defective
9 CR encoder sensor defective
10 Maintenance unit defective
11 Main PCB defective
Switching lever guide
Cause
Remove foreign materials.
Clean the CR encoder strip.
(Refer to the diagram below)
Reattach the leveler roller ASSY to the head/
carriage unit.
Reattach the ink supply tubes.
Reattach the CR guide rail.
Reattach the maintenance unit.
Replace the CR encoder strip.
Replace the carriage PCB ASSY.
Replace the maintenance unit.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
