G8-TEL, G3-TEL Manufacturer’s Reference The equipment has been approved to european law 98/482/EC for pan-European single terminal connec- tion to the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN). However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the approval does not, of itself, give unconditional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network termina- tion point.

Auto Dialler Mode G8-TEL, G3-TEL Call from Telephone to Intercom System Initiate Call The telephone interface can be called from any telephone in the telephone net. After the number has been dialled, the telephone receives the “Location message“. After the location message the call has to be accepted with the defined 1- to 4-digit code (in stand- ard “#”).

At Password incoming the 1- to 4-digit code is entered, which shall be entered at the telephone when calling to an Intercom subscriber (or selection of “Same as outgoing”).

Auto Dialler Mode G8-TEL, G3-TEL Recording of Speech Storage at the Station Speech storage messages (see ”Standard Speech Messages” on page 18) can be recorded at the Inter- com station. The recording can be performed in normal operation, so the speech storage messages can be tested immediately.

PABX Mode G8-TEL, G3-TEL Including a Range of Numbers via Wildcards To simplify the configuration in CCT 800 (see page 25), it is possible to define a range of telephone numbers as “wildcards”. The telephone numbers included by those wildcards can then be dialled at the Intercom stations as explained above.

PABX Mode G8-TEL, G3-TEL DTMF Times In the field DTMF decoding time [ms], the DTMF decoding time can be modified in milliseconds (default: 60 ms) In the field DTMF tone period [ms], the tone duration of the DTMF tone can be modified in milli- seconds (default: 80 ms) In the field DTMF gap period [ms], the pause between the DTMF tones can be modified in milli- seconds (default: 70 ms).
