Installing Conduit and Wire to the EasyTouch Load Centre

Before installing electrical conduit, read the following recommended guidelines:
• Determine the number of low and high voltage circuits being used in the EasyTouch load cen-
tre.
• Determine the appropriate number of RCD's (Residual Current Devices) required to provide
protection to each outlet connected to the EasyTouch load centre. RCD's may be able to be
shared across circuits depending on load and in accordance with the Wiring Rules AS/NZS
3000. RCD's should be located in the house's main circuit board or a separate sub-panel.
• Separate conductors should be run for each RCD between the circuit board and the EasyTouch
Load centre. Use a 25mm conduit for these power supply conductors.
• Connect supply conductors to associated circuits using the active and neutral terminal blocks
in the load centre.
• Use minimum 1.5mm
regulation safety codes for the number and size of conductors that can be installed in various
sizes of conduit.
• To avoid obstruction into the EasyTouch load centre, when using electrical conduit complete
the installation of the conduit before concrete is poured. Also, underground conduit should be
positioned in well compacted soil. Ensure that all conduit joints are well sealed and watertight.

loads (heaters, pumps, motorized valves, and lights etc.) have been complet-
ed.
• Use the one of the four low voltage raceway 20mm holes located on the underside of the enclo-
sure for the temperature sensor wires.
• The maximum rated load for the EasyTouch load centre is 125 AMP at 230/240 VAC 50 Hz.
