the normal frying temperature.
Press and hold the filter button until "1.AUTO FILTER?" displays.

Press and release the down arrow and "2.MAINT FILTER?" displays.

Press "✓" button and "MAN FILTER" "YES NO" displays.

Do one of the following:

• Press "✓" button. "DRAINING" displays, the drain valve automatically opens, and the
oil drains from the vat.
• Press "X" button for no and controls return to normal operation.
If control suspects oil in drain pan "CAUTION IS THERE OIL IN PAN? YES NO"
displays. Ensure drain pan is empty before proceeding.
Once oil has drained from vat, remove the basket support from the vat.

• Use the Hi-Temp Pad Holder, pad, and a small amount of KAY QSR Fryer
Cleaner to scrub the walls, corners and bottom of the inside of the vat.
• Use the Hi-Temp Detail Brush to clean in between and underneath burner
tubes, corners of vats and other hard-to-reach areas. Be careful not to
damage sensing probes.
Once the vat is clean, "SCRUB VAT COMPLETE?" "YES NO" displays. Press

"✓" button for yes. "WASH VAT" "YES NO" displays.
NOTE: The wash step of the first Maintenance Filter on a new filter pad lasts an extra
45 seconds to "break in" the pad.
Press "✓" button and "WASHING" displays. The oil circulates through the vat for
1 1 0 0 ) )
several minutes.
Once the wash cycle is complete, "WASH AGAIN?" "YES NO" displays again.
Do one of the following:

• If another wash cycle is needed, press "✓" button for yes.
• If another wash cycle is not needed, press "X" button. "RINSING" displays and fryer
automatically rinses the vat.
When rinsing is complete, "RINSE AGAIN?" "YES NO" displays.

Do not use steel wool, other abrasive cleaners or cleaners/
sanitizers containing chlorine, bromine, iodine or ammonia
chemicals, as these will deteriorate the stainless steel
material and shorten the life of the unit.
Do not use a water jet (pressure sprayer) to clean the unit,
or component damage could result.
