5.6 Setting the communication parameters
The correct values of communication parameters are vital to
ensure the correct ECR communication with its peripherals.
The communication parameters can be set for PC (931. PC),
bar-code scanner (932. Scanner), external printers (933. Print-
ers), scales (934. Scales), EFT terminal (935. EFT), and the ex-
ternal communication module (936. ECM).
1. Look up "Peripherals" in the main service mode menu or
enter code 930 and press O

2. Select the peripheral using the arrow keys for which you
want to set the communication parameters or enter its
code and press O

All menu items in the "Peripherals" menu except "Scales" con-
tains the "Default" command that sets the default values for
the selected peripheral. This command is always located as
last in the submenu.

The action for setting communication parameters for these
four device types is the same, except for PC that doesn't con-
tain "Active" menu item, thus PC codes are shifted by one
up. EFT contains one more menu item for setting the EFT
communication protocol (menu item 100). Press O
