2.2.2 Memory circuits

2.2.2 Memory circuits
ECR memory used by the microcontroller is divided into two basic parts:
• programme memory
• data memory
The programme storage is provided by the EPROM memory of the 512 kB capacity, which is activated using the CS0 signal.
The data memory uses the static RAM (SRAM) of the 512 kB capacity, which is activated using the CS41 signal. The ECR acces-
sories also contain the SRAM extension module that extends the ECR memory by up to 3 × 512 kB RAM.
The Euro-2500TX ECR uses the memory circuits with ultra low input that lower the power supply demands and significantly
prolong the memory power backup via the accumulator. Exchange of these memory circuits with others with the same ca-
pacity could lead to worse memory operation, greater bus interference, and shortened memory power backup. It is therefore
recommended to use the original memory circuits only.
