DIAGNOSIS function

DIAGNOSIS function
• Information on the current device status
• Restart or reset of the device to factory settings
• User commands
• Set or clear the DSUpload flag
Set DSUpload Flag: Local configuration changes at the sensor remain saved when an IO-Link mas-
ter is connected, and are transferred to the IO-Link master.
Clear DSUpload Flag: Local configuration changes at the sensor are overwritten when an IO-Link
master is connected.
• Activate or deactivate the sensor
• Extended settings
• Gain limitation
This function allows you to optimize the sensor to a specific object. Maximum boosting of the sen-
sor power is limited.
With certain applications, e.g. with compartment fine positioning, the sensor must switch precisely
at the racking bases. This requires a light spot which, owing to its laser power, still just switches/
measures at the edge of the racking catch. Excessive power control generates a large halo around
the laser spot, resulting in the object being detected too early above the laser spot.
NOTICE
Gain limitation must always be set at the object individually and directly in the application.
NOTICE
The numerical values in the fields are not equivalent to the object distance. In most cases, it is
sufficient to reduce the maximum value.
