3-1. Mechanical Flow

Power ON
Mechanical initialization
at starting
Head fan rotates.
Approx. 10 seconds
Plunger ON When no ribbon is installed:
Set the plunger OFF, then retry to
set ON.
Mechanical reset
Initialization When the head position is not in home
of head (When the head position is in Tray,
position media transport, or print position):
Shifts to the home position.
Paper When the paper is remaining
remaining (PE sensor ON):
check Jamming error
PE sensor
Removal of When a ribbon is installed:
ribbon slacking Plunger OFF → Removing the ribbon
slacking → Plunger ON
Initialization of When the cutter position is not left

Shifts cutter position to left.
