Cleaning and disinfecting the circuit

"Cleaning" mode
The liquid circuit of the unit should be washed and disinfected daily.
The 'Cleaning' mode allows the circuit to be washed and disinfected in order to reduce the crystalline
deposits and the number of bacteria in the liquid circuit. A rinsing of the circuit is then required to avoid
a possible reaction caused by the ageing of the solution or by an unwanted mixture of liquids.
The bottle and the handpiece cords used during treatment must be present during the washing
and the disinfecting of the liquid circuit because the process is simultaneous for both elements. Remove
the handpiece.
Circuit washing cycle:
Prepare the bottle with distilled or demineralized water,
Press the "Purge" mode selector,
Lift the connector and place it above a sink,
Press the foot pedal to start the program. Three beep sounds and the blinking of the indicator
lamp of the "Cleaning" mode confirms the end of the cycle.
Disinfecting cycle:
Prepare the bottle with 100 ml of a compatible disinfecting solution (refer to the list of compatible
disinfectants at the beginning of this manual),
Lift the connector and place it above a sink,
Press the foot pedal to start the program. Three beep sounds and the blinking of the indicator
lamp of the "Cleaning" mode confirms the end of the cycle,
Then allow the disinfecting solution to act for at least 5 minutes without interrupting the cycle or
touching the unit.
Using the disinfecting solution, press the foot pedal to start a second cycle of the program and al-
low to act 5 minutes without interrupting the cycle or touching the unit.
Rinsing cycle:
Prepare the bottle with sterile distilled water,
Lift the connector and put it above a sink,
Press the foot pedal to start the program. Three beep sounds and the blinking of the indicator
lamp of the "Cleaning" mode confirms the end of the cycle,
Press the "Purge" mode selector to exit this mode (this cycle must be then restarted).
(Note: it is possible at any time to press the foot pedal to stop the program in progress.)
For information, the duration of the 'Cleaning 'mode cycle is about 30 seconds and the quantity of liquid
necessary in the bottle is 50 ml (note that one LED corresponds to 10 seconds).
