Chapter 2 Preparations

1.10.1 Installation

Install the TPM kit according to the following procedure:
1.
Remove the top cover according to Chapter 2 (1.4.1 Removal of top cover).
2.
Insert the projection of TPM kit into the groove on CPU blade chassis, and slowly move TPM kit until the
connector on TPM kit is aligned with TPM kit connector on CPU blade.

Mount TPM kit to the CPU blade and secure it with a single screw.

Do not touch the terminals of the card with your bare hand. Fingerprints and
dust left on it causes the CPU blade to malfunction.
Insert TPM kit perpendicularly into the connector. Inserting TPM kit with being
inclined may damage connector pins and/or connectors.
If you have trouble installing the TPM kit, remove the TPM kit once and try
again. If you apply excessive pressure on TPM kit, a TPM kit might be
damaged.
