Before you begin

Overview

The ColorSource Raceway provides power and data in a lightweight, sleek profile that is perfect for
all-LED systems.

Safety

Consult your project drawing for the dimensions and weight of your specific ColorSource Raceway
system.

Maximum span

When mounting the ColorSource Raceway, position brackets no more than 10 ft (3 m) apart.

Maximum load (suspended mount)

The batten on the ColorSource Raceway supports a distributed load of 150 lb (68 kg) and a point load
of 65 lb (30 kg) across a 10 ft (3 m) span (see image below).

Maximum length

The ColorSource Raceway cannot exceed 72 ft (22 m) in length (74 ft [23 m] in batten length).

Suspending the ColorSource Raceway from brackets more than 10 ft (3 m)
apart risks structural failure and is not an approved use of this product.
• Verify that the mounting structure is capable of supporting the weight of
the ColorSource Raceway. Always follow applicable building codes when
attaching ColorSource Raceway to structural elements.
• When using the ETC aluminum batten for ColorSource Raceway, choose
clamps designed for use with an aluminum batten instead of C-clamps to
avoid damage to the batten.
For suspended-mount installations, do not hang the ColorSource Raceway until after
you attach the batten.
