3.1 Intended use

The ID 200/C‑PDP is a communication module for identification systems and is
equipped with a PROFIBUS interface. You can use the ID 200/C‑PDP as a control
cabinet module or for field applications. You can connect suitable inductive antennas
or trigger sensors to the ID 200/C‑PDP. Cabling must be used, which is suitable for
the system concept.
The product/component is exclusively intended for being integrated in a
machine or system or for being assembled with other components to form a
machine or system. The product may be commissioned only if its integrated
in the machine/system for which it is designed and the machine/system fully
complies with the EC Machinery Directive.
Observe the operating conditions and performance limits specified in the
technical data.
The device is a work appliance and not designed for private use.
The intended use also includes that you have completely read and
understood these instructions, in particular chapter "General safety
instructions".

3.2 Misuse

Any use of the device other than as described in section 3.1 "Intended use"
is considered misuse.

3.3 Qualification of personnel

Assembly, commissioning and operation, disassembly, and service
(including maintenance and repair) require basic knowledge of data
processing, as well as knowledge of the appropriate specialist terms.
In order to ensure operational safety, these activities may only be carried
out by corresponding experts or an instructed person under the direction
and supervision of an expert.
Experts are those who can recognize potential dangers and apply the
appropriate safety measures due to their technical training, knowledge
and experience, as well as their understanding of the relevant provisions
pertaining to the work to be undertaken. Qualified personnel must observe
the rules relevant to the subject area.
