2.1 General information on this chapter

2.2 Intended use
The product is a hydraulic component.
You may use the product as follows:
• as a direct operated directional spool valve with solenoid actuation for intended
use in explosive atmospheres.
The product is only intended for professional use and not for private use.
Intended use includes having read and understood this documentation completely,
especially the chapter 2 "Safety instructions".
The valve is designed and constructed for the control of oil flows. It complies with
the requirements of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.

equipment protection level (EPL) in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
and the derived standards in "Data sheet 23177-XH" under "Information on explosion
protection" and on the name plate of the valve.
