Safety
2.1.
Correct use
The Ecolift control unit is to be used exclusively for controlling a backwater lifting station.
The control unit must not be used in a potentially explosive environment.
Any
- conversions or attachments
- use of non-genuine spare parts
carrying out of repairs by companies or persons not approved by the manufacturer
which has been carried out without the express and written permission of the manufacturer can lead to a loss of
warranty.
2.2.

Staff selection and qualification

People who operate and/or install the Ecolift Comfort control unit must
- be at least 18 years old
- have been sufficiently trained for the respective tasks
- be familiar with and follow the respective technical rules and safety regulations.
The owner-operator decides on the required qualifications for the
- operating staff
- servicing staff
- maintenance and repair staff
The owner-operator must ensure that only qualified staff work on the Ecolift Comfort control unit.
Qualified staff are members of staff who, on the basis of their training and experience as well as their knowledge
of the relevant instructions, valid standards and accident prevention regulations, can carry out the required tasks
and both recognise and avoid any possible hazards.
Work on electrical components may only be carried out by specially trained specialist staff and under adherence
to all the valid accident prevention regulations (UVV).

Organisational safety measures

The operating and maintenance instructions must always be kept near to the Ecolift Comfort control unit.

Risk caused by electric current and cables

All live components must be protected against unintentional contact. Before housing covers, plugs and cables are
opened they must be switched voltage-free. Work on electrical components may only be carried out by specialist
staff (page 2.2).
Beware of the risk through electric current if a plug is opened without authorisation during operation e.g. through
children. The attachment nuts on the plug must be tightened firmly so that they cannot be opened by children.
