3.1 Check Gripper Operations Using Programming Pendant

Normally the EduCart ships with the transformer and YRC1000micro
Controller power switches in the ON position. If the YRC1000micro
Controller does not power up when turning ON the power strip, make
sure the transformer and YRC1000micro Controller are in the ON
position.

1. Open General Purpose Output screen. Turn outputs 1 and 2 to OFF.
2. Press keys: INTERLOCK + [ . ] ---- this is labeled "Tool Off" should
cause the gripper to Open and OUT 1 to turn ON.
3. Again, press keys: INTERLOCK + [ . ] ---- OUT 1 should now turn OFF.
4. Press keys: INTERLOCK + [ 2 ] ---- this is labeled "Tool On" should
cause the gripper to Close and OUT 2 to turn ON.
5. Again, press keys: INTERLOCK + [ 2 ] ---- OUT 2 should now turn
OFF.
• The gripper has a dial to change gripping force. It is configured to
operate at 50% of the peak gripping force from the factory.
• During an E-Stop condition the gripper stops current operation and
allows manual opening and closing of the grippers to resolve any
unexpected condition.
