6.1
General information
The device may be put into operation only after it has
been determined that the machine into which the partly
completed machinery is to be installed complies with
the provisions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. In
accordance with Annex II, Part 1, Section A, this machine
must be EC compliant.
WARNING
Loose clothes or long hair can get caught in the
device and pulled in!
Risk of injury from pulling, catching or grasping clothes
or hair.
Work with close-fitting clothes and a hair net
WARNING
Danger of contusion from insufficient safety
clearances!
If the safety distances form the surrounding contours
are too small, it produces a risk of squeezing people's
limbs.
The machine manufacturer (OEM) must ensure a
safe environment and adequate safety clearances
WARNING
Improperly fastened parts of the device can be
thrown outward.
If parts fastened on the device are thrown outward,
injuries may occur.
Safely fasten all components of the device
CAUTION
During commissioning, disturbances from control
influences can lead to noise in an unfamiliar
frequency range with varying volumes.
An increased noise level can lead to discomfort, stress
or ear buzz.
Wear hearing protection
NOTICE
Risk of damage to equipment due to obstacles to
free movement equipment components.
Device components unable to move freely can lead to
motor overload.
Use your hand to check for free movement of
device components before commissioning

6.2
Parameterization of the controller
The controller input parameters must be assigned
correctly in accordance with the following information.
6.3
Protection from thermal overload
The SRP series devices can be operated safely under
the following conditions. The ambient and mounting
conditions must be observed according to the data
provided in the data sheet.
Motor in operation (shaft speed ≠ 0):
With continuous current (I
(unlimited) time
With maximum current (I
maximum current (I

Operation with an AccurET
controller
HEIDENHAIN recommends the use of the
controller.

ETEL's recommended AccurET controllers incorporate
thermal overload protection features. Refer to the ETEL
"AccurET Operation & Software"manual for information
about parameterization.
6.5
Operation with controllers from
other manufacturers
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that—similar
to the recommended ETEL AccurET controllers—suitable
measures for protection from thermal overload are taken
in the inverter electronics, e.g. through an I
Current and time limits are to be parameterized.
If the instantaneous current value exceeds the I
current limit, an integrator circuit is activated. Once the
integrator circuit reaches the I
