Installing Selector Valve Kit

The selector valve kit reduces the number of tractor
hydraulic outlets required to operate the FLEX-ARM
and rotary cutter by one. For example, in order to
operate the FLEX-ARM with independent double
acting wing lift four hydraulic circuits are required,
with the selector valve kit installed, only three are
required. Install the selector valve kit as follows:
1. Bolt the selector valve to the cross bar using 2-
1/4 X 3 bolts, with locknuts. The solenoid faces
downward.
2. Install fittings in the selector valve. The A1 and
B1 use one adapter, 3/4-16 ORB male x 3/4-16
JIC female, followed by a 3/4-16 JIC male
elbow. The A2 and B2 use a 90º elbow, 3/4-16
ORB male x 3/4-16 JIC male.
Follow directions facing towards the cutter:
3. Disconnect the blue coded 242" hose from the breakaway stand and connect to the A2 port of the selector
valve. Disconnect the red coded 242" hose from the breakaway stand and connect to the A1 input port of
the selector valve.
4. When connecting to a 15' rotary cutter:
a. Connect one red coded 24" hose to B1 port on the selector valve and the middle right position on the
breakaway stand.
b. Connect the other red coded 24" hose to the B2 port on the selector valve and the bottom right position
on the breakaway stand.
c. Connect one blue coded 24" hose to the C1 port on the selector valve and the middle left position on the
breakaway stand.
d. Connect the other blue coded 24" hose to the C2 port on the selector valve and the bottom left position
on the breakaway stand.
e. Route electrical wires back to the cab of the tractor. A switch box installed in the cab of the tractor will
toggle the valve to operate the right wing or the left wing.
5. When connecting to a 10' rotary cutter (for use on a tractor with only two hydraulic circuits):
a. Disconnect the yellow coded hoses from the breakaway stand and remove from the machine. (These
should be coded yellow).
b. Connect one red coded 24" hose to the B1 port on the selector valve and the top left position on the
breakaway stand (which should be coded yellow).
c. Connect the other red coded 24" hose to the B2 port on the selector valve and the top right position on
the breakaway stand (which should be coded yellow).
d. Connect one blue coded 24" hose to the C1 port on the selector valve and the middle left position on the
breakaway stand.
e. Connect the blue coded 24" hose to the C2 port on the selector valve and the bottom left position on the
breakaway stand.
f. Route electrical wires back to the cab of the tractor. A switch box installed in the cab of the tractor will
toggle the valve to operate the right wing or main lift.
