Lock the Caster Wheels

Pull the frame forward so that the castors are
parallel with the direction of travel. Lock the castor
wheels by inserting a 3/4 X 2-1/2 bolt with 3/4"
locknut into each hole on the castor frame 'G'. Bolts
and nuts are found in the operator's manual
canister or in there storage hole near the castor
pivot. The holes to lock the casters in place will only
line up when the stop plates are assembled to the
lock-up tubes. These stop plates reduce how far the
Flex-Arm extends to the left of the center of the
towing vehicle to 54". When the plates are not
installed, they are located in their storage location
at the rear of the machine.
When the stop plates are installed, the Flex-Arm
does not allow for the center line of the rotary cutter
to be pulled directly behind the tractor. If you want
to cut directly behind the tractor, remove the stop
plates and install them in their storage location.
IMPORTANT: The castor wheel locking bolts must never be used when the FLEX-ARM is attached to a rotary
cutter. The purpose of these bolts is to lock the castor wheels in a forward direction for moving or transporting
the FLEX-ARM alone.
