Procedure for refilling of FLEX-ARM right angle
gearbox:
•
Remove lower level plug. Remove breather
vent.
•
Fill through breather vent until oil starts to run
out of lower level plug. Replace plug and vent.
Procedure
for
refilling
gearboxes:
•
Remove lower level plug. Remove breather
vent.
•
Replace lower level plug. Remove middle level
plug. Fill through breather vent or middle plug
until oil starts to run out of middle level plug.
Replace middle level plug and vent.
•
Use good quality 80/90 oil.
WHEN FILLING RIGHT ANGLE DRIVES ALLOW APPROX. 15 MIN. FOR OIL TO SETTLE
INTO BOTTOM CAVITY BEFORE CHECKING DIPSTICK.
IMPORTANT: The upper bearing in the upper swivel
gearbox is grease lubricated. A grease fitting is
provided in the upper gearbox for replenishing the
grease supply. Add 5-6 shots of grease yearly. Use
a hand operated grease gun. Use NLGI #2 EP
grease.
