Connect Hydraulic Lines between the FLEX-ARM and Rotary Cutter

Connect the rotary cutter hydraulic hoses to the hydraulic breakaway stand. The hoses are color coded to
identify their location. Never leave a disconnected hose end open. Always keep them capped to avoid
contamination.
Use wing lock up pins to secure wings or, lower rotary cutter to the ground before connecting
hydraulic hoses.
1. Connect the rotary cutter hoses to the
breakaway stand on the FLEX-ARM. The hoses
are color coded to simplify assembly.
2. Hoses are color coded as follows:
a. Yellow coded hoses connect to the rotary
cutter lift circuit. They occupy the two
positions along the top of the breakaway
stand.
b. Blue coded hoses connect to the rotary cutter
right wing (right hand when in tractor seat
looking forward). They occupy the two
positions along the middle of the breakaway
stand. The double blue coded hose goes to
the clevis end of the right wing lift cylinder,
and the single blue coded hose goes to the
rod end of the right wing lift cylinder.
c. Red coded hoses connect to the rotary cutter
left wing. They occupy the two positions
along the bottom of the breakaway stand.
The double red coded hose goes to the clevis
end of the left wing lift cylinder, and the single
blue hose goes to the rod end of the left wing
lift cylinder.
3. Single acting cylinder kit – The double blue
and double red hoses will not be present. The
single blue coded hose will run to the rod end of
the right wing lift cylinder. The single red coded
hose will run to the rod end of the left wing lift
cylinder.
4. Double acting cylinder kit – Left and right
wings are paired together. The single blue
coded hose runs to the rod ends of the wing lift
cylinders. The double blue coded hose runs to
the clevis end of the wing lift cylinders.
5. Independent double acting cylinder kit – In
this case hose routing is as described in item 2
above. If a selector valve kit is installed refer to
the following instructions.
6. When connecting to a 10' rotary cutter, the
lower red coded positions will not be used.
