Connecting the FLEX-ARM to a Rotary Cutter

1. Ensure that the ¾ X 2-1/2 castor wheel lock
bolts are in place.
2. Remove the hitch clevis from the rotary cutter.
3. Retain the 1" X 4 11/16 pin, ½" washer, 1-1/2 X
1-3/4 bolt, ½ locknut and 3/8 X 2 roll pin.
4. Back the FLEX_ARM so that the hitch tongue is
aligned as closely as possible with the swivel
hitch on the rotary cutter.
5. Turn off the tractor engine, place the tractor in
park, and set the parking brake before
dismounting. Dismount and view to see what
adjustments are required to align the swivel
hitch on the rotary cutter with the sleeve on the
hitch tongue of the FLEX-ARM.
6. Repeat until the 1 X 4 11/16" pin can be
inserted through hitch swivel. Install the 1-1/2 X
1-3/4 bolt, 3/8 X 2 roll pin etc that were
previously removed.
7. Remove the cutter jack and place in its storage
position.
Always shut the tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the parking
brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the implement and
tractor hitches.
8. Attach the FLEX-ARM safety chain to the
mower A-frame. Fasten the large loop of the
safety chain to the Safety Chain Attachment
Location using the 1 x 2-1/2" bolt, washer, and
locknut. Wrap the other end around the Mower
A-Frame and secure the hook. Alternately the
large loop of the safety chain can stay attached
to the mower and the hook end can be passed
through the slotted holes provided on either
side of the hitch block.
9. Lower the jack until the tongue is completely
supported by the drawbar. Remove jack from
the tongue and place on storage bracket of
mower. 8. Pin the strut assembly to the
mounting lugs on the arm and cutter with 1"
bolts the length of the strut from pinpoint to
pinpoint should be set according to chart below.
