Start Unit

Before operating tractor, read engine manufacturer's starting and operating instructions.
To help avoid injury: Wear hard hat, safety glasses, and other protective equipment required by job.
Do not wear jewelry or loose clothing that can catch on controls.
1. Clear the area around the machine of all bystanders.
2. Fasten and adjust seat belt.
3. Check that start interlock conditions are met.
4. Check that ground drive control and attachment speed/direction control are in neutral.
IMPORTANT: Machine controls will not function if not returned to neutral prior to starting
machine. If controls are not returned to neutral prior to starting machine, turn control off and
then back on in order to function after machine is running.
5. Adjust throttle to low.
6. Verify that parking brake is set.
7. Turn ignition switch to the run position (key on, engine off). Wait for operator display to come on. Cold
start wait indicator will light if necessary.
Read operator's manual. Follow safety rules and know
how to use all controls. Your safety is at stake.
Runaway possible. Start from operator's position only.

Rollover possible. If machine rolls over, you could be
thrown from seat and killed or crushed. Wear seat belt.
Fire or explosion possible. Do not use starter
fluid.
