Note
All length measurements are shown in tenths of the
chosen unit of measure.
A. Load Status
The LMI visually shows the indicated load status in three
colors: Green, Yellow, and then RED. Green indicates
the load is within accepted parameters. Yellow indicates
that the load is getting close to being outside accepted
parameters, and Red means the load is outside parame-
ters: causing an alarm to sound and the load to be locked
out. In a lock out situation, the boom is not permitted to
be extended or lowered. To recover from a lockout, the
boom must be retracted or raised to bring the load back
into acceptable load limits as noted on the load chart. In
the event that a lockout issue persists, the LMI system
can be bypassed (Refer to System Bypass).
B. Height
Height is the height of the forks from the floor (without
tire deflection). Since the LMI system is a pressure based
system, when at full lift height, it is recommended to slowly
lower loads to maintain stability and to avoid possible false
readings due to abrupt pressure changes.
C. Length
Length is the distance from the rear boom pivot point to
the pivot point of the attachment; this closely correlates
to the actual extended length of the boom.
D. Percent of Utilization
The Percentage of Utilization is the Actual weight of the
load as a percentage of the Maximum capacity for the
current reach length and lift height of the load; in accor-
dance with the forklift's load chart.
E. Angle
Angle is the angle of the boom in relation to level ground.
Operating on slopes or grades may cause the LMI to
show inaccurate or false readings and possibly a lockout
condition. In the event that a lockout issue persists, the
LMI system can be bypassed (Refer to System Bypass).
F. Radius
Radius is the distance of the load center from the front
tires.
G. Current OP-MODE
The current OP-MODE is shown in the left hand lower
corner (48x4x2).
H. Current Date
The current date is shown in the left hand lower corner.
I. Maximum Capacity
The capacity bar shows the maximum capacity (MAX
klb) for the current reach & lift height of the load and the
actual weight of the load (ACT klb); both readings are in
thousands of pounds.

J. Current Time
The current time is shown in the right hand lower corner.
K. Day/Night Mode
The display can be switched from Day mode (sun) to Night
mode (moon) by pressing the corresponding function key.
L. Operation Confirm Screen
The Operation Confirm Screen button can be pressed to
access the SETUP menu which is where certain settings
can be updated.

Setup Menu

The SETUP Menu can also be accessed while on the
CONFIRM OPERATION MODE screen (Figure 4.31)
or the CONFIRM OP-MODE screen (Figure 4.32) by
pressing the F1 function key, which corresponds to the
"SYS" button.
