Modifying a Program

SOUND COLLECTION section

The SOUND COLLECTION menu includes all the configuration
parameters of the SOUND COLLECTION module (described at page 14).
The SOUND COLLECTION module is comprised of two independent
parts, that can be recalled through the buttons [1] or [2] on the
The screen shows the selected part in the menu heading, represented by
the numbers [1] or [2], and the parameter values of the said part.
To access this menu, enter the EDIT PROGRAM screen (page 28) place
the cursor on the SOUND COLLECTION field and press the data entry dial or, alternatively, hold down the sound
selection knob of the module for a while (point 4, page 14).
NB
The following table lists all the available parameters of the SOUND COLLECTION module. The knob or button that
allows direct control of the parameter through the panel is written under the parameter name.

Description
Catogory
Selected timbre type.

Values:
 Pad: synth pads.
 Strings: bowed instruments, acoustic or synthesized.
 Choir: choirs.
 Brass: acoustic or synthesized brass instruments.
 Keys: acoustic and electronic pianos, synths, accordions.
 Organ: electric, electromechanic and pipe organs.
 Bass: acoustic, electric and synthesized bass.
 Others: various kinds of instruments.
Timbre
Selected timbre type. Different sound categories (selected through the Category parameter) may

Main sound generation parameters of the selected sound. The three available parameters depend
[parameter 1]
on the selected sound, and are described below:

 Attack Time: sound attack time, i.e. the time it takes to reach the signal level peak after the key
[parameter 2]
[KNOB 2]
is pressed.
 Decay Time: the time the sound takes to decay after the key has been pressed.
[parameter 3]
 Release Time: sound decay time after a key has been released.
[KNOB 3]
 Filter CutOff: filter cutoff frequency, modifies the sound's brilliance.
 Efx Send: effect input level.
