Rotate the data entry dial to modify the parameter value; press the button [
section's parameters.
To leave the submenu and return to the EDIT PROGRAM menu, press [EXIT]. Press [EDIT]/[STORE] to return
to the main video page of the Program.

COMMON Section

The COMMON menu contains the general parameters of the Program, determining the operation of all the
sections within.
To access the menu, enter the EDIT PROGRAM screen (page 28) and place the cursor on the COMMON field,
then press the data entry dial.

Split Mode
When Split Mode = OFF any sound can be assigned to the whole keyboard or to a part of it. To
assign the sound to a portion of the keyboard, use the KEY RANGE function (page 30).
When Split Mode = ON the keyboard is split in two. A Sound can be assigned to the Upper or
Lower part. The boundary between the two parts is determined by the Split Point parameter,
which sets the highest note of the Lower part.
The Split Mode can also be set through the [SPLIT] button on the main panel.
Values: OFF, ON
Split Point
The boundary between the Upper and Lower parts, when the Split mode is active.
The Split Point can be set directly through the keyboard, by pressing the [SPLIT] button and the
desired key at the same time.
Values: between C-1 and G9
Function assigned to the pedals connected to the PEDAL ports [FOOT SWITCH 1] (FS1) and
FS1 Dest
[FOOT SWITCH 2] (FS2), on the rear panel.
FS2 Dest
Values:
SoftPd/FS1Dest
 OFF: no function assigned.
SostPd/FS2Dest
 Sostenuto: Sostenuto effect. Only available for Sounds from the modules SOUND
COLLECTION, A.PIANO and E.Grand of the E.PIANO module). When using this function, only
the notes played while the pedal is pressed are affected by the Sostenuto (soft) effect.
 Soft: Soft effect. Only available for Sounds from the modules SOUND COLLECTION, A.PIANO,
and for the E.Grand sound of the E.PIANO module). When using this function, the Soft effect is
applied to all notes played while the pedal is pressed (i.e. have a slightly lower volume and a
softer, dampened timbre)
 FX1 ON: switch on/off FX1 on the EFFECTS section.
 FX1 TAP: parameter controlled by the [TAP] button for FX1.
 FX2 ON: switch on/off FX2 on the EFFECTS section.
 FX2 TAP: parameter controlled by the [TAP] button for FX2.
 REV ON: switch on/off the effect of the REVERB section.
 Module ON: switch on/off the modules according to the setting of Foot Switch 1 and Foot Switch
2 in the submenu of each module. The function must be enabled for each module with the
parameters Foot Switch 1 and Foot Switch 2 on each module menu.
NB
- The parameter assigned to the [TAP] button button varies according to the currently selected
effect. For further information read EFFECTS section, page 32.
- When the Sustain Type parameter (page 56) is set to Triple, these fields will appear as
SoftPd/FS1Dest and SostPd/FS2Dest; they assign a function to the left (Soft) and central pedal
(Sostenuto) of the triple pedal connected to the PEDAL [SUSTAIN] connector.

Values:
 OFF: no function assigned.
 Expression: continuous control of the volume while playing.
 Modulation: continuous control of the modulation while playing.
 Aftertouch: send a MIDI message Aftertouch to the MIDI ports and channels (set by the
EXTERNAL section).
 FX1 Amount: parameter controlled through the [AMOUNT] knob for FX1.
 FX1 Rate: parameter controlled through the [RATE] knob for FX1.
 FX2 Amount: parameter controlled through the [AMOUNT] knob for FX2.
 FX2 Rate: parameter controlled through the [RATE] knob for FX2.
