Protecting the Privacy of Your Data

If you are concerned about the security of data that is sent to and from
the analyzer, you can maximize privacy and prevent unauthorized
users from detecting sensitive information by enabling encryption on
the analyzer. When encryption is set on, data sent to and from a
remote user interface to the analyzer is encrypted using the Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) 128-bit encryption algorithm.
The following procedure shows you how to enable
encryption through the remote user interface.
If you are especially concerned about the security of your
data, we strongly recommend that you set encryption from
a PC that is directly connected to the analyzer. Using a
direct connection helps minimize potential interception of
the encryption key by unauthorized users. See the online
Help for assistance.
