Installation

4.1
General installation information
– Unless specified otherwise, the individual installation steps described are for the installation
type "Installation in a concrete slab". The same installation steps apply analogously for
installation in an exposed pipe.
– Make sure there is a sufficient gap to the wall or objects for maintenance work to be carried
out.
4.2
Connecting the backwater valve
(illustration shows installation in an exposed pipe)
• If necessary, fix the two connecting pieces inlet <3> and
outlet side <2> to the drain body <1> using the quick-
release closures <4> (see installation instructions for the
connecting pieces). Check for a firm and flush seat.
• Connect the backwater valve to the pipe system. For this,
make sure that
– the backwater valve is aligned vertically upwards with
the operating elements as shown
– the installation location corresponds to the direction of
flow <5>
• Make sure that the one-handed closure* <6> is closed.
* Drain bodies from DN 150 have two one-handed closures.
