6DL3100–8AA/–8AB with versions below 7 can be found in the product information

B) Behavior of the two–channel counting pulse/speed detection
(with sense of rotation recognition) if one of the channels fails:
(applies for 6DL3100–8AA as from Version 8, 6DL3100–8AB as from Version 7,
all 6DL3100–8AC)
If one of the two channels fails, the value of the speed of the failed channel is redu-
ced step–by–step to 0, as in single–channel detection. The sign is frozen with the
state which it had before the fault occurred. This ensures that speed recognition is
still possible on one channel. However, changes in the direction of rotation are no
longer recognized.

sense of rotation"
Caution
Operation of the counting pulse/speed detection with sense of rotation recognition (for
use at water turbines) with versions below those specified above is not permitted,
since the speed and sense of rotation are sporadically no longer recognized correctly
when a sensor fails or a wire breaks (jumps in the values).

Limiting of the frequency output to following
values
Old frequency is retained. Since the cycle time
for the detection amounts to 2 msec, a mis-
sing pulse can no longer be detected.
Limitation to max. 750 Hz
Limitation to max. 375 Hz
Limitation to max. 187.5 Hz
Limitation to max. 83.3 Hz
Limitation to max. 31.3 Hz
Limitation to max. 15.3 Hz
Limitation to max. 1.5 Hz
Limitation to max. 0.15 Hz
Output is set to 0 (i.e. frequencies under 0.1
Hz are not detected or always set to 0)
