Operating states from POWER ON to productive operation determine the beha-
vior of the AddFEM and are displayed at the operating and error status LED (see
Fig. 2–1).
Operating states which only occur in redundant operation (only possible at
6DL3100–8AB/–8AC) are also listed to complete the picture. The states are
listed in their sequence during starting up.
LED–Test. All the error and status LEDs are switched on for approx. 2
seconds after the power supply has been switched on or after a reset.
The following steps are carried out during the initialization phase:
Setting the hardware
Test for complete firmware
Execution of the "Run–Up–Self–Test" (RUST)
Error reactions
If grave errors occur through the RUST, the AddFEM is reset and bran-
ches to the state RESET.

ges. The currently set address for DP–A (left LED 1...8) is displayed in
binary form at the 16 signal LEDs for digital inputs.
Note:
This display is only visible if the PROFIBUS DP master is not yet ready
or if the PROFIBUS line is not yet plugged, is defective or is not yet ter-
minated.
No PROFIBUS DP message has been received yet. Initialization is
completed. Module is waiting for valid messages.
PROFIBUS DP master not yet ready or the PROFIBUS line is not yet
plugged, is defective or is not terminated.
Note: Please check termination switch in PROFIBUS–Plug.
