Sound field programs
Before performing the following operation, set the operation
mode selector on the remote control to F AMP.

Using CINEMA DSP 3D mode

CINEMA DSP 3D mode creates the intensive and
accurate stereoscopic sound field in the listening room.
You can activate and deactivate the CINEMA DSP 3D
mode.
Press P 3D DSP repeatedly to turn on or off the
CINEMA DSP 3D mode.
While this unit is in the CINEMA DSP 3D mode, the 3D
indicator lights up.

Note
CINEMA DSP 3D does not activate ("3D:--" appears) in the
following cases:
– the "Front Presence" setting is set to "None" (page 93).
– no CINEMA DSP is selected.
– headphones are connected to the PHONES jack.

Enjoying unprocessed input
sources
When this unit is in the STRAIGHT mode, 2-channel
stereo sources are output from only the front left and right
speakers. Multi-channel sources are decoded straight into
the appropriate channels without any additional effect
processing.
Press N STRAIGHT (or T STRAIGHT) to select
"STRAIGHT".
The names of the audio signal format of the input source
and the active decoder appear in the front panel display.
To deactivate the STRAIGHT mode
Press NSTRAIGHT (or TSTRAIGHT) again or select
another sound field program (page 46).
