Keysight N4373D Lightwave Component Analyzer, User's Guide
• Normally, you do not need extra calibration, that is, select
"None". The LCA measures to specifications under the
standard conditions.
Optical path and electrical path deembedding is not applied during a user
calibration.
• The frequency dependent transmission behavior of optical
transmitters cannot be characterized as accurately as the
behavior of receivers. The factory calibration ensures the
uncertainty specified, but particularly for improved
results at lower frequencies, this may be slightly improved
by performing a user calibration. In this case, select
"Measure".
• If you want to reuse an existing, saved calibration, select
"Load", and select the file from the Windows Explorer
window.

to start the measurement preparation.
If you are performing a user calibration , when the following
screen is displayed, make sure the optical output is
connected to the optical input using the patchcord supplied.
The patchcord has the following part number:
• Single-mode angled/angled connector: N4373-87906
• Single-mode angled/straight connector: N4373-87907
Please also refer to the documentation supplied with the
patchcord.
