Calibrate before you start using the Lightwave Component
Analyzer, or return to EE measurement mode, as described in
"Returning to Electrical Measurements" on page 100 to
calibrate.
1 Set your measurement parameters.
2 From the "Calibration" menu, select "Calibration Wizard".
3 Select "Use Electronic Calibration", and click [Next>].
4 Select "2 Port Ecal", and click [Next>].
5 On two-port network analyzers select port 2 as "selected 2nd
port".
On 4-port network analyzers select port 4 as "selected 2nd
port".
6 Select "ECal Thru as Unknown", and click [Measure].
7 When the calibration finishes, save the calibration file.
Electrical Calibration for Differential OE Measurements
To ensure the specified performance of the LCA, you should
perform a full three-port electrical calibration. We recommend
you use the appropriate electrical RF calibration kit. See the
Keysight website for available calibration kits.
Calibrate before you start using the Lightwave Component
Analyzer, or return to EE measurement mode, as described in
"Returning to Electrical Measurements" on page 100 to
calibrate.
We recommend you use the torque spanner (Keysight part number
8710- 1764, 0.90 Nm, 8 lb.-in) supplied with the optical test set to
tighten all RF connections during the calibration.

2 From the "Calibration" menu, select "Calibration Wizard".
3 Select "Use Electronic Calibration", and click [Next>].
4 Make sure "Show Advanced Settings" is selected.
