Reinstalling and Updating the Software
N O T E
132
In the next step of the "Found New Hardware Wizard" you
are asked what you want the wizard to do. Select "Install the
software automatically" since you already finished the USB
driver pre-installation.
This happens twice, once for each port (Port A and Port B) of
the optical test set.
Reinstalling the software
1 On the CD-ROM supplied with the LCA, in the directory
\Reinstallation\LCA Software, start the LCA setup software
Setup.exe.
2 Follow the instructions on the screen.
We recommend you use the default settings.
Note the directory to which the LCA application is installed.
3. The registry script in the next step installs LCA related
functions in the first 5 positions of the network analyzers
macro setup.
Existing macros will be overwritten.
To prevent this, make sure that the first five positions are
empty. You can do this in the network analyzers macro setup
dialog:
"System\Macro\Macro Setup".
In this dialog move down all existing macros, so that the first
five positions are empty.
4. In this LCA directory, right click on the file NWAShortcuts.reg.
From the context menu, select Merge.
Restoring the hardware calibration files
1. On the network analyzers "D" drive, open the directory
"LCA".
2. Copy all folders (with all their subfolders) into the LCA
installation directory:
"C:\Program Files\Keysight\LCA". (default directory).
Starting the LCA Server
When starting the "LCA Measurement Setup" with no server running, the
server is started automatically.
