Installing Your Avid FastServe | Playout Engine
This chapter contains the tasks you must perform to prepare an environment for FastServe | Playout
installation and to install the Avid FastServe | Playoutengine.

The procedure below describes the installation of the FastServe | Playout server on Linux (CentOS7)
machines.
Having your hardware received, the first step to perform is to connect power cables, network cable,
VGA monitor and USB keyboard and power the system on, as described in the topic
FastServe | Playout System" on page
The following table provides a checklist of tasks that must be performed when installing Avid
FastServe | Playout engine for the first time on a machine.
