Malfunction
The valve leaks to the
atmosphere (fugitive
emissions).

8.2 Emergency action

Upon supply air or control signal failure, the
valve moves to its fail‑safe position (see 'De‑
sign and principle of operation' section).
Operators are responsible for emergency ac‑
tion to be taken in the plant.
In the event of a valve malfunction:
1. Close the shut‑off valves upstream and
downstream of the control valve to stop
the process medium from flowing
through the valve.
2. Perform troubleshooting (see sec‑
tion 8.1).
3. Rectify those malfunctions that can be
remedied based on the instructions pro‑
vided here. Contact our after‑sales ser‑
vice in all other cases.
