8. Maintenance

Maintenance work such as inspections or repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer
(Weinmann) or by a trained and authorized dealer.
You must have the pressure reducer serviced regularly as follows.
Immediately if dirty, at least every two years:
• Replace the filter screw 11 (see "8.1 Replacing the filter screw" on
page 25).
Every 4 years:
• Replace all parts subject to wear and tear (filter screw, sintered filter, seal
elements).
• Perform a final check in accordance with the test instructions.
Oxygen cylinders
Oxygen cylinders must be subjected to retesting at regular intervals by the responsible test-
ing organization. Before using an oxygen cylinder check that the date for retesting has not
expired. Oxygen cylinders must not be used if this date has expired. See the data stamped
on the cylinder for the date of retesting.

8.1 Replacing the filter screw

You can do this yourself if you are technically minded, or have it done by your authorized
dealer.
You must change the filter screw every two years, or if it is clogged.
1. Be sure to wash your hands before changing the filter screw.
2. To unscrew the filter screw you will need a 4 mm Allen key (internal hexagon wrench).
3. Clean the hexagon socket of the filter screw with a clean screwdriver.
