80 mm Ø, then pull PVA sheeting material over the socket liner. Insert the
lamination dummy into the lamination shell and cover the adjustment area
with PE adhesive tape. Next, place the lamination shell so that the longest
sliding path is in the medial-lateral direction. The shell's marks should face
anterior. (fig. 2).
Reinforcement is provided with two layers of Nylglass 623T9, partial applica-
tion of carbon layers (fig. 3), 1 ½ layers of Fiberglass Stockinette 616G13
and four layers of Nylglass 623T9. Each layer is tied into the groove of the
adapter shell (fig. 4). Finally, remove the lamination dummy from the socket.
After the model has been removed from the mold, assemble the adapter
plate and adapter with the countersunk screw(s).
3.2 Thermoplastic socket (use of 4R108=3T or 4R109=3T)
The 2Y38=3T thermoplastic shell is integrated in the thermoplastic socket so
that the plastic material is located between the thermoplastic shell and the
adapter. When using a socket liner, this is built up to 80 mm Ø in the distal
area (refer to point 2.1).
Pull the Nylon Stockinette 99B25 over the socket, then add the thermoplastic
shell with the lamination dummy inserted.
Use plastilin to blend away any uneven cuts or edges, so that disassembling
the thermoplastic shell is possible (fig. 5).
After vacuum forming, drill through the indentation in the lamination dummy
using a 4 mm bit. Remove the model and lamination dummy and widen the
hole to 26 mm.
Prior to assembly, make sure the thermoplastic material is evenly distributed
over the thermoplastic shell area (min. 8 mm). Smooth out any irregularities
on the attachment surface by grinding the thermoplastic material. This also
provides a large surface area for the adapter.
NOTICE
If the outer edge of the adapter is not properly supported, there may be a
risk of fracturing the central countersunk screw.

Adjustment and final assembly

single clamping screw in the center of the assembly. After loosening the
