The orthosis is intended for exclusive use by one user. Use of the product by another person is
not approved by the manufacturer.

3.5 Areas of Application and Usage Restrictions

CAUTION
Excessive strain or overloading of the orthosis due to unusual activities
Falling or skin irritation may result, caused by:
Malfunction of the orthosis due to short circuits in the electronics and battery.
Breakage of load-bearing components.
Damage to the battery.
Hydraulic unit defects with associated leakage of liquid.
→ The orthosis was developed for everyday use and must not be used for unusual activities
such as extreme sports (free climbing, paragliding, etc.).
→ If the orthosis has been subjected to extreme strain (e.g. due to falling or similar), it must be
inspected by a CPO immediately for possible damage. The contact person is the respons
ible CPO, who will send the orthosis to Ottobock Service if necessary.
The orthosis is an orthopaedic device that makes it possible or easier for the user to stand and
walk, and may also fulfil other medical requirements. The Ottobock team has adapted the orthosis
to the loads expected at the time of fitting. If the activity level increases in the course of use,
adjustments are required. Changes will also have to be made if the user's physical condition wor
sens and more support from the orthosis is needed.
The daily duration of use and potential therapeutic measures (e.g. occupational therapy or physio
therapy) to improve performance must be discussed with the attending doctor. In general, major
discomfort should not be experienced when wearing the orthosis. Excessive pressure can lead to
complications.
Please contact the attending doctor or Orthotist for any questions or in case of problems with the
orthosis.
