7 Preparation for use
7.1 Information on fabrication of a prosthesis
CAUTION
Incorrect alignment or assembly
Risk of injury due to damaged prosthetic components
► Observe the alignment and assembly instructions.
With the 4R10, the patient can adapt the prosthesis to various fields of
application by quickly changing the lower section (
ment examples;
(Everyday prosthesis/Sport prosthesis);
important to complete the bench alignment, optimisation of the static align
ment and optimisation during the dynamic trial fitting for each field of applic
ation.
► Carefully plan the alignment of the prosthesis for the respective fields of
application according to the sections that follow and the corresponding
illustrations as well as the instructions for use of the prosthetic compon
ents that are used.
In doing so, determine the installation dimensions (system heights/struc
tural heights) of the prosthetic foot and the other prosthetic components,
and coordinate them with each other.
7.2 Bench alignment of the prosthesis
CAUTION
Improper assembly of the screw connections
Risk of injury due to breakage or loosening of the screw connections
► Clean the threads before every installation.
► Apply the specified torque values.
► Follow the instructions for thread lock.
