Appendix B, "Command Reference," describes the Cisco IOS commands that are used
with the ATM modules.
Appendix C, "Configuration Examples," provides examples of the process of
configuring LANE servers and clients and configuring support for RFC-1483
permanent virtual connections (PVCs).
Appendix D, "Translated Safety Warnings," provides translations of the safety warnings
that appear in this manual.

Conventions Used in This Guide

This manual uses the following conventions:
The caret character (^) represents the Control key.
For example, the key combinations ^D and Ctrl-D are equivalent; both mean you should
hold down the Control key while pressing the D key. Keys are indicated in capital letters,
but are not case sensitive.
A character string is defined as a nonquoted set of characters.
For example, when setting an SNMP community string to "public," do not use quotation
marks around the string; otherwise, the string includes the quotation marks.
Command descriptions use these conventions:
Commands and keywords are in boldface.
Arguments for which you supply values are in italic.
Optional elements are shown in square brackets ([ ]); alternative optional elements are
separated by vertical bars ( | ).
Alternative but required elements are grouped in braces ({ }) and separated by vertical
bars ( | ).
