This chapter tells you how to configure the R&S SMCV100B to generate signals for
simple receiver tests.

5.1 Configuring the Input Signal

This chapter provides an overview of the different input signals, that the
R&S SMCV100B uses as modulation data.

5.1.1 How to Apply an External IP Input Signal

To connect the R&S SMCV100B to local IP data network
1. Connect the IP source to the "IP Data" connector of the R&S SMCV100B.
See chapter "Connecting to IP Data Interface" in the R&S SMCV100B Getting Star-
ted user manual.
2. Select "Input Signal > General > Source > External".
3. Select "Input Signal > General > Input > IP".
4. In the "IP Channel x" side tab, click "Local IP Data Network".
By default, the R&S SMCV100B assigns the IP address automatically using
("Address Mode > Auto (DHCP)").
5. If "Network Status > Disconnected", try "Restart Network".
