Lift the rake with the utmost caution and move it slowly,

4.5. Operating parts

Prior to operating the rakes check the rotor and the tine condition.
Worn or damaged tines should be replaced immediately with new ones.

4.6. PTO shaft

Prior to operating learn instructions given by the shaft's manufacturer found on the shaft.
Use only the rake's manufacturer recommended PTO shafts.
In order to operate safely use only fit, undamaged telescopic articulated shafts. Damaged
telescopic articulated shaft shall be repaired or replaced with new one.
Pay particular attention to PTO shaft's guards and rake's and tractor's spline shaft guards. Never
work with damaged guards.
Before operation, check all guards (in tractor, machine and the shaft), if they are in place and are
functional. Any worn or damaged guard must be replaced. Damaged or missing guard of drive shaft
may cause serious accident and even death.
Possible inclination of the shaft depends on shape and size of the guard. Before operation check if
guards in any position are not damaged or locked.
Always pay attention to the recommended overlap of the PTO shafts in working and transport
positions.
Before you start work, you must make sure that the PTO shaft is spinning in the right direction and
that the tractor PTO RPM matches the permissible RPM levels of the machine.
