Use the mounting bracket as a template and scribe two drill-position marks at the selected mounting
location.

Drill two pilot mounting holes at the drill position marks.

See Figure 5.3. Secure the mounting bracket to the mounting surface with the #10 thread-forming
screws.
7.
To adjust the angle of the control pad, loosen the hinge screws, tilt the control pad forward or backward,
then securely tighten the screws.

Mounting the Microphone
The standard microphone comes with a mounting clip and three Type A, #6 Phillips screws.
Tools needed:
•
Pencil or felt-tip pen for marking drill position locations
•
Drill with #27 drill bit
•
Phillips screwdriver
To mount the microphone:
1.
Select a flat mounting location that enables the driver to use the mic safely under all driving conditions.
2.
See Figure 5.4 on page 37. Use the mounting clip as a template and scribe three drill-position marks at
the selected mounting location.
3.
Secure the mounting clip to the three Type A, #6 Phillips screws.
4.
Place the metal button on the back of the microphone into the slot in the clip.
